The Clarke Passing Track project area is located south of Highway 401, between Stevenson and Thickson Road. The eastern portion of the project work will take place within the City of Oshawa; the western portion is located in the Town of Whitby, within the Municipality of Durham. The proposed works consist of relocating 1 kilometre of mainline track and adding 2.2 kilometres of new mainline track.
